Being Responsible
Being a sustainable and responsible business is something we take very seriously.
We invest in our own people and actively encourage training and development programmes for all our employees.
Environmental
We have active programmes in place to reduce the amount of paper and plastics we use and we recycle materials wherever possible. We also actively try to reduce our carbon footprint, constantly looking at travel costs and logistics and cutting out unnecessary travel altogether. We have just replaced all 38 windows in our building with uPVC double glazing which will save us a significant amount in heating bills, and according to government statistics will cut our CO2 emissions by 4320 kilograms per year – that’s the equivalent of 24 double decker buses!
Community Support and Charity Work
Here at HGA we have our own Charity Committee and every year we support local and national charities in a number of ways that include producing fund raising and promotional video, website and printed materials. We have supported and continue to support many fund raising and awareness events though direct and indirect sponsorship and contribution.
We are working with 'Pub is the Hub' - a charity very close to our hearts as it involves beer! We have helped with launching the website and producing video and printed materials at little or no cost. Our old computers and printers have been donated to the charity.
We helped AstraZeneca with a breast cancer awareness campaign in Ethopia - producing a game involving fishing for 2,000 fluffy pink fish!
We are delighted to help with the fund raising and awareness of a brilliant project that a client of ours brought to our attention at the start of the year – when he and his wife formed part of a team to rebuild a football pitch and school in South America.
