Launching Through Film

Understand

Kellogg's one of our longest standing clients recently approached us to create a promotional film to support the launch of their brand new children's cereal, Mini Max. Already a success in the US, it’s the first cereal produced by them in 22 years that is aimed specifically at children. It was essential that the integral marketing messages of the product were communicated to Kellogg’s employees before launching nationwide to the public. As such the video had to be compelling, engaging and informative in order to fully support the huge launch.

Engage

Pre-production and storyboarding were essential elements in the development of the concept. We wanted to create a story that really evoked the key messages of the product. A narrative that instilled just how important the product would be to their target audience, the mothers who buy it. As well as highlighting its health benefits and the investment behind the launch– a £2.5 million marketing campaign.

Filmed on location in Cheshire on a Canon 5D Mark II and edited and graded in Final Cut Pro, the film tells the story of a day-in-the-life of our 7-year-old hero, Max. A clever use of environmental graphics provides the narrative throughout driven by a bespoke soundtrack, designed and composed all in house.

Deliver

We would like to pay particular thanks to Harry (aka Max), his Mum and all the extras that helped bring this film to life. In addition we would like to thank local charity, The Together Trust (togethertrust.org.uk) for their help in providing the excellent classroom location.

Special thanks to Apple too for their brilliant grading tools, helping us turn a rainy Friday into something a bit more cheery.
