This week our venues spotlight shines on one of our all-time favourites – the Roundhouse in Camden. Event Sales Manager Ally Turnbull tells us all about it…
North London’s Roundhouse has a rich and glamorous rock and roll history, having played host to some of the most legendary musicians in the world from The Rolling Stones and Jimmy Hendrix to Britney Spears and One Direction. You don’t have to be a superstar to take the stage at the Roundhouse, though! We have over 2500sqm of event space available for corporate and private hire, covering everything from Christmas parties, galas and conferences – all drenched in the atmosphere of rock royalty.
An Iconic London Building
Originally built in 1846 as a railway house, our Grade II listed building has an iconic circular structure. It was also an alcohol distillery before being re-opened as a Performing Arts venue fifty years ago in 1968.
All of the profits from our events go back to our charity The Roundhouse Trust, who work with young people in the community. By supporting our venue, you help us to carry on pushing the development of a truly unique and bold programme, challenging artistic boundaries and providing invaluable opportunities for the next generation of artists.
A Unique Venue for Unique Events
We can accommodate 1800 people for a standing reception, 850 for a seated dinner or 700 people in a theatre-style. We’re proud to hold a Gold Standard Award from Attitude is Everything recognising our ongoing commitment to provide the best possible experience for deaf and disabled visitors. We have years of experience hosting events that push the boundaries in our unique space, providing excellent customer service to create unforgettable events and make your delegates feel like a rockstar.
