Getting to know Dan...

What’s your favourite film?
I grew up in the 80's so I love the classics - Back to the Future, Ghostbusters, The Karate Kid, Indiana Jones, Star Wars & Planes, Trains and Automobiles.
What’s your favourite book?
I'm really into business & learning books. My personal favourites are Way of the Wolf by Jordan Belfort, First Man In by Ant Middleton & Legacy - the story of the All Blacks & their leadership/culture model.
What telly are you addicted to?
As a new Dad I've been introduced to the world of Hey Duggee & Gigglebiz. When I'm unwinding in the evening, Suits is one of my all time favourite shows - though nothing can beat 24 as my ultimate favourite show!
Where would you most like to be right now?
Driving down California’s Highway 1 with the roof down in the sun – the most stunning scenery in the world.
Where’s the best place you’ve travelled to?
The West Coast of America - I would move there tomorrow.
What would be your specialist subject on Mastermind?
The Screwfix catalogue! Having just recently finished renovating a house, the time & money I've spent in Screwfix means that I know every page of the catalogue from front to back.
What’s your favourite sport to watch or play?
It has to be Football, although my playing days are long since over!
What’s the best soundtrack to a long car journey?
It would have to be a mega-mix of Eighties power ballads!
What’s the best thing about Manchester?
United! I was born in the city & love everything about it - the food, the music & the culture. I also love the fact you're so close to everything, Manchester really is the gateway to the UK!
Tell us about your pet
Having a wonderful two year old son & another baby on the way means I don’t have time for much, so right now I am pet-less. I get my fix through my role as a trustee for the charity Support Adoption For Pets.
Sunday brunch or Sunday roast?
I love a roast! With pork if there’s a choice!
Finish this sentence - ‘I can usually be spotted in the office…
... clutching a huge mug of tea'.
