Getting to know Ian...
What’s your favourite film?
Harry Potter is one of my favourites – it’s easy to watch and up to about episode three I can recite pretty much every line of the film.
What telly are you addicted to?
I got hooked on The Walking Dead after our design studio pointed me in its direction, which similarly happened with Suits, too.
Where would you most like to be right now?
I’d have to say the moon; I’m always looking to visit places that inspire me in some way. I’d love to visit space one day and look back to the Earth to see how we really look from a distance.
Where’s the best place you’ve travelled to?
The Caribbean! Hands down one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been to.
What would be your specialist subject on Mastermind?
My specialist subject would probably be Apple Inc. I’m often the go-to person as and when there’s a new product launch for people to get my opinion on what’s best to do!
What’s your favourite sport to watch or play?
Play – golf, watch – formula One. I’m not big sporty person, in that regards I fit the stereotype quite well!
What’s the best soundtrack to a long car journey?
That all depends on the time of day I guess. I’ve got a really varied taste in music and something for all occasions – I have a rook of Spotify playlists for different needs.
What’s the best thing about Manchester?
It’s home. It’s the capital of the North and for me and one of the most exciting, progressive places to be.
Tell us about your pet
My cat is called Alan. He’s been stuck up one of the tallest trees I’ve ever seen and dismantled many edges of carpet around the house. God love him, though – he’s incredibly good-looking!
Sunday brunch or Sunday roast?
Roast. Is this a rhetorical question?
Finish this sentence – “I can usually be spotted in the office…
..Eating!” I’m a big fan of food. I won “The Human Dustbin” award back in my first year at HGA after just six months with the company.
