Getting to know Becci...
What’s your favourite book?
I started my career in London’s publishing houses so I live on a very varied diet of books! Some of my favourite reads include Sapiens for my brain, The Time Traveller’s Wife for my soul and I just finished Eligible by Curtis Sittingfeld which was delicious indulgence.
What telly are you addicted to?
Adaptations. I’m a big Game of Thrones fan and desperately impatient to see how it ends! I also can't wait for Poldark to return this summer.
Where would you most like to be right now?
Under the sea. I’ve got quite into scuba diving during my travels and I like floating about by a reef trying to find Nemo.
Where’s the best place you’ve travelled to?
A cenote (underground lake) in the middle of nowhere Mexico. There was nothing but a rope swing, crystal clear waters and my girlish screams!
What would be your specialist subject on Mastermind?
What’s the best soundtrack to a long car journey?
One of Manchester’s finest – Elbow! I am massive fan and never get bored of their soulful tones.
What’s the best thing about Manchester?
Probably not the weather! The people, the music, the football, the canalside views and vimto.
Who is the funniest person at HGA?
In recent months it's become very apparent that our unassuming Paul Basson has a truly wicked sense of humour - I spend most of my day watching Chris fall to pieces laughing at him! #parmasean
Which bit of event tech are you most excited by?
I spend a lot of my day analysing website and social media statistics – so I love using event apps to track similar data and feedback. It’s often very telling!
What question to you get asked most often in your job?
It's a tie between “Please could you just proofread this?” or “What’s a good word for…?”
